What does your clinic specialise in?
As we are primarily General Practice orientated, we see people who would typically go to their GPs for advice and help with their health issues. The main difference being that we spend more time incorporating the Wholistic perspective. We believe that primary preventive care is what taking responsibility is all about. Therefore many of the services we offer are aimed at detecting imbalances as early as possible, offering the most appropriate and most natural treatment to reverse the process of disease.
With Dr Daya's diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, she has a special interest in women's health issues. Her other area of special interest is in the power of using food as medicine.

How is your clinic different?
We are different in that we treat the whole person, like a detective looking for that common thread that links many seemingly unconnected symptoms together, treating what lies underneath the symptoms from different perspectives.
We also take the trouble to test from a range of remedies which is best suited for a person at that particular moment in time as well as what the priority is to get them started on their healing journey.

I feel quite well and healthy so why would I need to visit your clinic?
It's good that you feel well and healthy. It does pay to have regular MOT checks done from time to time especially as we get older. Firstly, how we feel today can change and secondly, you may feel well and healthy simply because you have adapted to a state of compromise, yet the reality on the inside may be quite different. Many a patient has come to our clinic surprised that they have developed cancer because they thought they were so healthy. So even if you do feel well and healthy we highly recommend an annual MOT check in our clinic to look for warning signals which if caught early enough can save a crisis later.
That is why we believe and encourage people to be proactive rather than reactive and at the same time not to become overly obsessed by the body!

Are there any prerequisites for benefiting from your treatments or advice?
It helps to be motivated and take responsibility in your own healing programme. There is no quick fix for the long-term solution.
It helps to believe in the philosophy or principles in both the methods of testing used to gather useful information as well as the treatments or remedies recommended.
It helps to participate in your own healthcare and be receptive to even the subtlest changes taking place.
It helps of course to be true to yourself and not to sabotage your own healing process.
It helps to be patient, kind and gentle on yourself as your body gets used to a different pattern and rhythm.

How do I know which of all the tests or services you offer I need?
Although we offer a variety of different and useful tests to gather important and relevant information, not all of them are necessary or appropriate for everyone. Very often it depends on how long you have had a certain problem for and how complicated your case is. For this reason we recommend an initial consultation with Dr Daya to go through your full medical history when it will become more apparent what is needed, what the missing gaps are and how to proceed further.

Will I need all the tests you recommend?
Not at all but that depends on your individual case. In many cases it is enough to just make the necessary dietary and lifestyle changes for the first stage. If more tests are necessary, these can be gradually built into the treatment plan as required spread over a period of time.

How quickly will I feel the benefits from your treatments?
That will depend on many factors such as how long you have had your problem, how much you do to help yourself, how toxic your body is and how many layers we have to peel off to get to the root of your problem. Wholistic treatments are not quick fixes. In fact you may feel a little worse for a short time as your body detoxes but this should not last long and pass usually into a state of feeling significantly better.
As with any other treatments, one should allow a few months to observe the full picture or benefits before reviewing the methods of treatment.

I can't afford to pay for everything so what can I do?
Firstly we recommend doing things slowly and in stages. We also accept smaller monthly payments to help in your budgeting plans. As much of the healing process takes place through lifestyle and dietary changes, we arrange special educational talks and seminars to provide you with similar information that you would get on your first consultation on how to help oneself but at a fraction of the cost. If you are interested in attending one of our Seminars, please email us your details.

Am I covered by private insurance?
Being a private GP, private health insurance companies will not cover any costs of seeing a GP but they should cover the costs of any conventional blood tests, scans or X-rays necessary. Of course they do not cover for wholistic tests or treatments such as Hair Mineral Analysis.

Do I need a referral by my doctor?
Although it is helpful to be referred by your doctor, given that they are not always open or receptive enough to the wholistic approach, it is not necessary to have to be referred by them in order to be seen in our clinic.

How often will I need to come back to see you?
This will vary from case to case depending on the urgency and how acute your situation is. Generally speaking however, to get you started we usually recommend 3-4 sessions, 6-8 weeks apart. Thereafter we suggest follow up checks every 6 months. Some of these follow up appointments are possible to arrange as telephone appointments. Feedback is extremely important and valuable to know how and what needs changing on the treatment plan.

I live far from London so how can I benefit from your clinic?
We recommend an initial appointment by telephone with Dr Daya and based on that it will become apparent both to her and you what might be required next. At some stage however, she will need to see you in order to better and more fully assess your full medical condition.
