What happens if I arrive late?
1. Do I need a referral from my doctor?
It is not necessary to be referred by your doctor to be seen at our clinic.
2. Do you treat patients with cancer?
We do treat patients suffering from cancer. We complement conventional treatments by helping to encourage drainage of cellular toxic wastes, repairing gut integrity from the after effects of chemotherapy and supporting the key organs to function optimally.
3. How can you help me when so many other doctors made no difference?
No doctor of any kind can offer a guarantee of a cure, or even alleviation of symptoms. But if your GP or consultants have not been able to help, we can draw upon a wider range of tests, remedies and treatments to try to find a solution for you.
We are different in that we treat the whole person. We work on filling in the gaps that have not been explored before to provide explanations and solutions for your symptoms. Like detectives, we look for that common thread that links many seemingly unconnected symptoms together, treating what lies at the root cause of these symptoms from different perspectives.
We test from a range of natural remedies to find the combination that is most appropriate for you as an individual at this moment in your journey to better health. We also seek to prioritise treatments so that you address the most important issues first.
4. Can I discuss my case, and which tests or services may help me be before committing to see you?
Yes, we offer a free ten minute discussion on the telephone with Dr Daya. She will discuss briefly your symptoms and history and give you her advice and recommendations as to which tests or sessions would be most appropriate for you.
We offer a wide range of information gathering tests, but not all of them are necessary or appropriate for everyone.
5. Will I need to be seen after my first appointment, and if so, how frequently?
This will vary from case to case depending on the condition you present with and how long it has troubled you. Generally speaking however, to get you started we usually recommend 3-4 sessions, 6-8 weeks apart. Thereafter we suggest follow up checks every 6 months.
Some of these follow up appointments may only require telephone consultations. Feedback is extremely important and valuable, helping us to identify any changes that may be needed in your treatment plan.
6. I don’t like taking a lot of supplements – can you still help me?
It is nearly always necessary in the early stages to reduce the toxic load with a drainage remedy (drops) and digestive enzymes. However, as we test and only prescribe what a person requires specifically at that moment in time, we are able to keep this to an absolute minimum.
This initial set of remedies usually only requires a single prescription.
We encourage our patients to be proactive in making supportive changes to diet and lifestyle which also helps to keep supplementation to a minimum. Our ultimate goal is to help you reach the self maintenance stage as soon as possible where little more is needed than a good multivitamin and omega 3 oils.
7. How quickly will I notice an improvement in my symptoms?
That will depend on many factors such as how long you have had your problem, how much you do to help yourself, how toxic your body is and how many layers we have to peel off to get to the root of your problem. Holistic treatments are not quick fixes. In fact you may feel a little worse for a short time as your body is encouraged to drain toxins out but this should not last long, and usually passes into a state of feeling significantly better.
As with any other treatments, one should allow a few months to observe the full picture or benefits before reviewing the methods of treatment.
8. I live a long way away. Can any consultations take place over the phone?
It is possible to have your first consultation by telephone with Dr Daya and based on that it will become apparent both to her and you what tests will be needed and how best to proceed from here. At some stage however, Dr Daya will need to see you in order to better assess your full medical condition.
9. Why would I need to visit your clinic if I feel well and healthy?
As we strongly believe in prevention, we encourage people to be proactive rather than reactive in their use of health care. Most of our screening tests reveal valuable information about subtle imbalances that may manifest more fully many years down the line.
It always pays to take note of any early warning signals and encourage the body’s innate healing process at all times. Inevitably, as we get older, many systems become compromised. It is important to support the body and reverse a disease process rather than simply waiting for more severe signs and symptoms to become more apparent.
10. I struggle with ideas on food & diet. Do you offer any help and support in this area?
Yes, since this is a key element to maintaining good health we provide valuable information on food intolerances and healthier options as part of our consultation. Dr Daya is currently working on an updated version of Food Therapy in a DVD and workbook format. More on this will be posted in our WHAT’S NEW section.
We also sell some specialist foods at our clinic.
11. Will my insurance cover your services?
While most UK based health insurance plans will cover for standard tests including blood tests, ultrasound scans and X-Rays, they do not cover the consultation fees of a private GP or some of the more holistic type tests such as Thermal Imaging or the Bio-Meridian food intolerance tests.
However, most of the health insurance plans such as BUPA International, Allianz Health Care and others based outside the UK do cover for most of the tests and consultations undertaken at our clinic.
12. Do you work with holistic-minded mercury free dentists?
We commonly find that a person’s mercury amalgam fillings lie at the root of many of their symptoms. We are able to carefully supervise the timing of when such procedures as replacing amalgam fillings should take place, with advice on which specific tooth needs attention first.
We work alongside a few holistic-minded dentists who are willing to help carry out these replacements taking all the necessary precautions.
Yes we treat children over the age of 5 and find that they respond very well to our treatments.

14. What is the normal length of appointment sessions?
It can vary from person to person, but appointments are normally between 30 minutes and 1 hour.
15. How much will my Bio Meridian or Functional Biochemistry Session cost?
The cost of these sessions is £395. This includes your consultation with Dr Daya as well as the testing, and Dr Daya is present at all sessions.
16. What happens if I arrive late?
Late arrival may result in you having a shorter session time, as we have to respect the next patient’s time.
