Electro Lymphatic Therapy (ELT)

ELT
figure‘LymphLite’

As featured in The evening standard logo

This pain-free treatment is excellent for reducing and helping to eliminate lymphatic congestion. It is vital the lymphatic system is kept moving and clear to remain healthy. Unlike our circulatory system that has a heart to pump it, our lymphatic system has no such pump and therefore it needs help to keep it moving. ELT can reduce breast lumpiness and swelling and can be applied to the whole body including the face.

It is also helpful for reducing swollen ankles, blocked sinuses, cellulite and lymphademia. It is safe for men and women of all ages and for pregnant/lactating women.

What is ELT and How Does it Work?

Based on Quantum Physics, this is a safe, drug free method of improving the flow of fluids in the body. Electro-lymph therapy primarily uses an energy field to produce healing and health in a person.

It is a non-invasive, safe, highly effective therapy that very rapidly dissipates any lymph congestion which particularly accumulates in the upper chest and axilla regions of the upper body. Previously trapped protein clusters clogging up the lymph system are broken up allowing the lymph to flow more freely.

The lymph system covers the entire body and can greatly affect many functions of the body when there are obstructions in the flow of body fluids particularly blood and lymph. Disruption of the normal flow of fluids occurs by the obstructive effect of clumped red blood cells. This interferes with oxygen being delivered to various parts of the body which in turn can cause various   pathologies to occur.

It is the charge of negative ions to the surface of red blood cells that stops them from clumping.

A healthy person’s red blood cells already has this negative charge on the outside of their cells allowing them to smoothly move through the body. For various obvious reasons of this modern age with numerous electrical and digital devices used, we tend to lose this protective negative ion charge to the surface of our cells.

Dr Shamim Daya, GP & Director of The Wholistic Medical Centre says, “The Electro-Lymphatic Therapy device charges red blood cells.  Why is this necessary?  Imagine your red blood cells as magnets stuck together.  ELT makes these cells separate which will improve their mobility and break up waste stored in the tissue, boosting the immune system”.

The improved energy field produced enhances the movement of lymph by improving its flow into the major collecting nodes where the extremities connect to the body. This in turn improves the elimination of accumulated toxins in the lymph which has an enormously beneficial effect on the immune system. The energy field created also has the ability to flush pathogens such as viruses and yeast from the interstitial spaces into the lymph channels.

elt in useBenefits for Breast Health:

ELT is excellent for reducing breast lumpiness, swelling and a feeling of ‘over full-ness’ that many women commonly complain of. This may be a constant complaint or menstrual cycle related. All sessions start with the breast, even if you require a full-body treatment, as the chest area is where the lymph channels empty. During a session we also work on the underarms (axilla) and onto the arms especially if the patient suffers from lymphodemia. ELT and is commonly used by our patients, who after their Thermal Imaging scan, found they were suffering from lymphatic congestion.

Is ELT the Same as Lymphatic Massage?

Lymphatic massage is a brilliant way to keep the lymph moving as is regular forms of exercise and skin brushing. Yet only ELT can affect the red blood cells. Therefore we recommend ELT alongside anyone already undergoing massage as they will reap the benefits more if they have treated their red blood cells before hand. Lymphatic massage will stimulate and move the congestion around but will not empty the congestion or de-clump the red blood cells.

The following 2 examples show the improvement in lymph congestion in two of our patients after having some ELT treatments.

“I was experiencing breast tenderness and after my first Thermal Imaging breast scan, it was found that my breasts were very congested. I was recommended ELT and after only one session the pain and tenderness had gone. After a second session followed by a Thermal Scan, the inflammation in my breasts had become dramatically reduced. After this I booked a course of ELT treatments. Now after a few months I have not had the return of the previous symptoms and would highly recommend ELT”

Although our primary use of this device is to release any lymph congestion around the breast tissue, this therapy can also be used to help with:
  • Fluid retention
  • Reducing lymphoedema of the arm including carpel tunnel syndrome
  • Chronic colitis
  • Cellulite
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Helps relieve asthma
  • Releaves congestion associated with emphysema
  • Pulmonary inflammation and oedema
  • Whiplash
  • Sore shoulders
  • Stiff necks
  • Lymphadenopathy in the neck
  • Sore throats
  • Hearing difficulties
  • Skin lesions on head and face
  • Headaches
  • Sinus problems
  • Improves circulation

What Will Happen During My Treatment Session?

You will be treated in a private room by a trained female ELT Practitioner. Sessions last 20 minutes although a full-body session may be longer. You will be asked to undress to the waist down. You will need to full undress to lower body underwear for a full-body session. The Practitioner will ask you about the health of your breasts and any complaints you have or physical feelings you have noticed. The Practitioner will gently press the device over your body as well as doing sweeping motions to move the cells through the lympths. You will not feel anything apart from a slight warm feeling from the head of the device. Your Practitioner will always keeping checking that any lumps or swelling do not feel too painful to touch. Our aim here is good results but a patient must feel comfortable.

How Many Will I need and What are the Costs?

Many patients experience a change after one session, but most will need repeated sessions. Lower body treatments always begin with an intial treatment on the breast area to free. Please consult your Practitioner on this.

  • A 20 minute session cost £80
  • A 40 minute session cost £150
  • A 60 minute session cost £225

  • Four sessions pre-booked in advance are given a 10% discount.
